Product packaging may seem like a small part of the process, yet it is one of the most critical steps. Most waste is typically produced during packaging, from plastic wrap to bubble foil. Therefore, it is essential for companies, especially in the food industry, to use sustainable methods to avoid excess waste.
FitBee Planet has carefully considered options for our product packaging to preserve our nut butter’s freshness and limit waste. We landed on a few key components that significantly decrease our carbon footprint and are excited to share them with our customers.
Our company values sustainability and preserving our beautiful planet. Many companies in the food industry produce an obscure amount of waste. We do not want to negatively affect the environment any further while making our nut butter spreads.
FitBee Planet enforces eco-friendly and ethical practices in all operations, from sourcing our products to packaging. See below to learn more about our wrapping paper, Geami WrapPak, and some of the other sustainable packaging we feature with our products.
While bubble wrap is undoubtedly an efficient and exciting way to package products, it is not the most environmentally conscious method. Plastic waste poses many harmful risks to the environment, particularly our oceans. Therefore, FitBee Planet wanted to find a safer and eco-friendly alternative for packaging our tasty nut butter spreads.
Geami WrapPak is an innovative product made with eco-friendly and recyclable paper. It features a mixture of tissue interleaf paper and die-cut kraft paper. The unique honeycomb design expands to fit around items to package securely. Each of our jars of nut butter fits exceptionally well in the wrapping paper.
Our product packaging is not only environmentally conscious but beautiful as well. The craft paper is structured in a honeycomb shape, which fits perfectly for a myriad of items. The company allows for custom colors and designs for wrapping paper. Although, we keep our packaging simple with some white paper and twine. It looks terrific and keeps our glass jars of nut butter well protected.
Fun, well-designed packaging results in a more enjoyable unboxing experience. FitBee Planet wants to ensure our customers gain that experience while maintaining our promise to be as sustainable as possible. Thus, incorporating Geami WrapPak recyclable paper is the perfect solution.
FitBee Planet incorporates sustainable practices in all elements of product packaging in addition to using biodegradable wrapping paper. Our nut butters arrive in glass jars, which are entirely recyclable and reusable. It is also a safer option to store food by preserving freshness for an extended period. Since glass jars are not made with any harmful chemicals, there is no risk of microplastics infusing our nut butters that may have with typical plastic containers. They also look great and can be used in various ways after indulging in some delicious nut butter.
Furthermore, our lovely product labels are also printed with compostable paper. They are made using direct thermal technology, a method in which heat is administered to chemically treated paper. These printers also do not require ink or toner, which significantly limits the amount of non-recyclable waste.
